Privacy Policy

VicIT respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Montenegrin Law on Personal Data Protection.

Last updated: 9 September 2026

1. Who we are

VicIT is a MedTech startup based in Montenegro, developing the ICP Monitor — a continuous intracranial pressure monitoring system. For any question about this policy you can contact us at info@vicit.me. VicIT is the data controller for the personal data described below.

2. What data we collect

This website is a static informational site. We do not run advertising networks, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics profiling. We only process data that you deliberately send us:

  • Contact data you enter in the contact form or send by email: name, email address, chosen category and the content of your message.
  • Technical data your browser sends to our hosting provider with every request (IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp) — kept in standard server logs for security purposes.
  • Local preferences stored in your own browser: chosen language (Montenegrin/English) and light/dark theme. These never leave your device.

This website does not collect health data. The ICP Monitor clinical platform is a separate, regulated product; when it becomes available it will have its own privacy documentation and consent process.

3. Why we process it (legal basis)

  • To answer your inquiry — legal basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to business, clinical and patient inquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(f)).
  • To keep the website secure and available — legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To remember your language and theme choice — strictly necessary for the functionality you requested.

4. How long we keep it

Inquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting relationship, and normally no longer than 24 months after the last contact. Server logs are kept for a short period by the hosting provider. Browser preferences remain until you clear them.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with providers that make this website and our email work (web hosting and email service), and with authorities where the law requires it. Where a provider is outside the EEA, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Your rights

  • Access to the data we hold about you.
  • Rectification of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Restriction of, or objection to, processing.
  • Data portability.
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting past processing.
  • Complaint to a supervisory authority — in Montenegro, the Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@vicit.me. We respond within 30 days.

7. Security & changes

The site is served over HTTPS and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. We may update this policy; the date above always shows the current version.
